How to spice things up

I'm looking for some advice on how to spice things up in the bedroom. My girlfriend and I have been together for a while now and we're both feeling kind of stuck in a rut. We love each other, but we're both pretty vanilla when it comes to sex. We've tried all the normal things--different positions, toys, etc--but nothing really seems to be working. Any advice?
