one or two in the beginning?

I have never had a ferret. Everything but... My question is, I am getting the ferret nation double unit with lots of toys. Will he be lonely if I just get one or should I get him a playmate too?

Hello and Welcome to the forum! It's really a preference and cost. As far as food 2 won't make much difference but you have to think of vet bills. I've had 37 ferrets since 1999. We rescue. We have 2 at present. Vet bills can get costly.

Singles can be happy if they get enough you time. Personally I like the way 2 interact and sleep together.
