Not tame ferrets - adoption?? Help - Wednesday, March 22, 2017 1:13 PM
Hi all

I was looking to adopt a couple of new ferretd - I already Have 2 girls- 5 and 2 years old

Someone was looking to rehome 2 on Facebook but they aren't tame and have been kept in separate cages - they are under a year old and have been used for Hunting I think

Their current owner here them in a garage away from home and only handles them with a towel!

I would like to give them a chance of an loving home but I a mess worried they won't be able to integrate.

They are 1 male and 1 female - bot has unspayed.

Has anyone gone through this?
Can I have Some advice?

Hi irisheyes, if you do adopt them which I do reccomend doing because form the sounds of it, they're not being treated as well as they should be being treated.
Keep them separated from your current pair, and get them tame before trying to intergrate them, because they're young and not over 3, they'll likely intergrate fine. It's important to get them tame first though for just in case they do fight when you introduce them and need to separate them.
