Need a little help
-
Thursday, November 12, 2015 11:13 PM
I wasn't sure where to put this so i'll put it here. I was recently given 3 ferrets. Long nails never bathed or had their ears cleaned, you know, from someone that didn't know what they were doing. They have been eating Meow Mix their whole lives, which I am in the process of switching. My two boys are just ... so fat. I was wondering if there was anything else I could do for them besides walks to get some of the weight off of them? or any other tips?

Right now, my furkids are putting on weight getting ready for winter. It that time of year. I would not worry about the extra weight on your little one. Good quality food and letting them out of their cage more often. Will help tone up the muscles. Once, they get used to their new home....I am sure they will be running around and climbing on everything. I think I would just keep good eye on them.

yeah, it wouldn't hurt to get them vet checked, and glucose done, but once on a decent diet for a while they should stabilize their weights. Congrats on the 3 newbs.
