Help?
-
Wednesday, October 14, 2015 12:37 PM
I've grown up with tons of animals, especially cats, but unfortunately I've been abused my whole life so I have moved in with my grandparents. I miss my kitties more than anything and I just my precious baby hamster. I love ferrets and have always wanted one, but my grandma thinks all of them are so very stinky so she says no. How can I persuade her that not all ferrets smell bad?

I think the only possible way would be to visit someone/somewhere that has ferrets. Ferrets in pet stores always stink because of how they're kept. Odor can be controlled with one or two ferrets, but convincing someone is not so easy. I've met people who once owned ferrets and they said they stank. But they didn't belong to any forums where they could get care advice.

Do you have a ferret shelter that is local? How about volunteering your time at the shelter.
