We'll be loadin up the truck and move to Tenesseeeee... this Friday. Surf wasn't great, 1-2 ft, no swells, but 83F. I managed to catch a couple wimpy waves Prissy has been a beachcomber since her Canada days, so we brought her along for a last walk on New Smyrna The old gal was acting her age, but we did wake her up from a nap. I just hope she makes the trip and gets settled until we get established with a new vet. As we were leaving, I got hit with another wave of emotion. This was the first Florida beach I ever walked on, right after graduating high school. I moved here when my oldest son was a year old, and my youngest was 3 years in the future. They grew up on this beach. I have no idea where or when I'll have sand between my toes again

Beautiful pictures. I guess life in Tennessee will be different but all phases of our lives are different and usually it is good for us to have change once in awhile. I lived near the Pacific ocean in San Diego for many years and enjoyed it immensely but I love my life here in Missouri. I have also lived in Michigan on a lake for most of my years there plus I had access to the great lakes and I loved that so I find we can have great lives in many different areas of this country. I sure hope all your ferrets take the move in their stride and have no problems before you are near a new vet. Good Luck in your move.

Good Luck on the move! The pics of her paw prints in the sand was just awesome! Best of luck finding a new ferret vet that has to be very stressful, not just picking up your house and moving but also finding someone you trust with your fuzz butts has to add so much more. It took us 8 years to find the right ferret vet here in NYC (other vets were OK but Dr. Q is amazing) At least Tennessee has some good Whiskey, and not just Jack Daniels. If you make it to Gatlinburg or near there they have this amazing whiskey distillery that makes Caramel whiskey that is amazing + chocolate, apple, peach, oh they were sooo good

I know some people in TN from holistic ferret so we have a good lead on a vet near us. For the record, I don't consider JD a good whiskey. All I have to do is smell it and I get a headache. Knob Creek flows through our area, and its namesake distillery makes a good product. Ever been to Dollywood?
