New Pet Axolotls :D
-
Thursday, August 06, 2015 2:00 PM
Got my 55 tank up and running and my 4 new little pets arrived yesterday. I purchased 4 juvenile axolotls. One is melanoid (black) One is wildtype (the dark one thats hiding) One is luecristic (white with pinkish gills) and one is golden albino (goldish color) Their colors will become more pronounced as they get older. They should grow to be over 6 inches minimum.

Wow those are really cool, they are actually amphibians from Mexico, they've earned the nickname Mexican salamander, they really look like fish though. I've only seen them once in a pet store. Coincidentally I recently got a bigger newt tank and got my longtime fire belly newt Cam, a new buddy Isaac (haha). Their set up is really neat, with a floating turtle dock and lots of fake plants.
