Something's wrong with my ferret

my ferret is 7 years old and he loves to play but lately he's just lays there and does nothing. And now he's starting to eat less. IA there anthing at home I can do while I wait for the appointment with? I'm scared he's got insulinoma or some other disease and if there is anything at home I can do to help I'd would be happy to try it out.

Have you ever fed him soupy? Either diluted chicken or turkey baby food. Or you can make it from kibble. I soak mine then use a food processor. I add chicken baby food, egg and heavy whipping cream to help with weight. Blend that all together and add water till it's the consistency you want. Fairly thin if you have to syringe him. Have the vet check his BG first thing. At his age he might slow down a bit but not as much as you mention. Please keep us updated.
