My 5 year old ferret is vomiting and having mucus diarrhea

hi I recently adopted a 5 year old male ferret he started having mucus diarrhea a couple days ago and lost his appetite so I've been syringe feeding him but today he started vomiting I have given him 20 cc sq fluids because he is horribly dehydrated he is going to the vet in the morning but the diarrhea is just running out of him I'm afraid he won't make it threw the night any suggestions would be great thanks!!

Could he have possibly have injested something causing a blockage? Even a hairball? I would definitely take him to the vet ASAP. Continue to keep him hydrated. Please keep us updated.

Is he getting any food? He needs something. Chicken baby food, canned cat food, anything.

I've been syringe feeding him but he just vomits it back up that's why I started sq fluids so he didn't die from dehydration poor guy

Ok turns out he is around 7 yrs old and he has the flu but it's very hard on him due to his age so supportive care and fingers crossed he should get better and he's on meds for his tummy upset

Thank you! And he is still tired and weak but no more vomiting he's eating a little but still has diarrhea and is clearly not feeling great hopefully a few more days he will be back to him self. I've only had him a little over two weeks and I'm looking forward to many more so fingers crossed.

The flu I just had lasted 2 weeks. Mostly sore throat and malaise.
