Hi from New Mexico!

Hello!! My family adopted a little kit today. I think she's about 9 weeks old. We named her Pretzel and so far she is amazing! I have one question though. She is a Marshall ferret and comes with a 1 year guarantee through them but only if she eats Marshall food. I've read that it's not good food though. I also bought a small bag of Orijen cat/kitten food after finding a food chart on here that recommended it. Should I not care about the guarantee and feed her a better food? Is the Orijen food a good food? Thanks!

Hello and Welcome to the forum! I never worried about the guarantee. Marshall food is crap food. As young as your baby is it would be better to switch now. They imprint on food early. To switch mix the two foods together in a small container and gradually phase out the Marshall's. It can be hard on their tummys if you switch to quick. I know of people who have fed the Orijen but never have personally. A lot of people mix to kinds together in case one becomes unavailable and that way they still have something their fuzzy will eat. I feed mine Dr Foster and Smith that I buy online.
