Males, Females or both?
-
Friday, March 27, 2015 6:02 AM
Hi Everybody. I am new here and have questions. I am ordering the FN 182 cage tomorrow. I plan to get 2 ferrets so they will have each other while I am gone. Is it better to get 2 males? 2 females? Or one each? Is there a difference in their attitude or anything? Is there a person or place online to pick what theme I want for my cage? Like pan and ramp colors etc.? Thanks everybody.

Is there a person or place online to pick what theme I want for my cage? Like pan and ramp colors etc.? Just do a search on ferret bedding. There are some really nice cage sets for the FN cage. http://www.littlefeetferretbedding.org/ http://www.ferretsheartnsoul.com/ Just like humans they all have different personalities. It doesn't matter in sex. good luck in finding your new ferret. If you have a ferret shelter in your area. Check it out, those ferrets in the shelter also need a home. Adopting from a shelter, you can get some additional help or advice from the shelter mom/dad. They might put on fundraiser events to support the shelter....this way you get to meet some ferret people.

We've always had a mix and they all get along. I do find that generally, the girls stay crazier than the boys as they get older. The girls are more adventurous and curious.
