Never owned a horse, too expensive. But I took equestrian studies in college, did some showing with IHSA too. I love to ride! I found a place about an hour away that does that cattle drive experience I can't wait to do.

I love the quarter horses. I just had to put my quarter horse down two years ago. He was 31 years old. He was such a good boy! I just have to go over the hill and I hit the state land which they have horse trails. It's really nice to ride.

that sounds awesome =D and sorry to hear about that, quite a few years ago we had a TWH that had eye cancer named Haddie and a 28YR old gelding named Mac, we had to put Miss Haddie down as the cancer progressed rapidly and was past point of return :( and Mac passed away of natural causes the day before we were going to put him down, he went peacefully luckily. still hard though.

They lived a long and good life. Cancer is nasty, sometimes it best to put the animal down. You just don't want them to suffer any more. They always tells us when they are ready.....looking into their eyes.

I am in the process of selling my mare. No fault of her own. Just looking for a taller horse. (5.1 and up) I was looking at the Thoroughbred, but they can be hard keepers. They are beautiful horses.
