Future Ferret Parent (hopefully)

Hi! I'm doing some research in hopes to adopt a ferret in the coming year. I currently work at an animal shelter (for dogs and cats) in the Central Florida area so don't think I'll have issues with the basic care of the animal. I just have some questions that I'll be posting over in the General Chat that I hope y'all can assist me with.
