Bowls?
-
Tuesday, November 04, 2014 11:24 PM
I know ferrets need ceramic bowls (they can't tip them over) however; with my recent research I have found out that ceramic is bad, due to lead in its glaze... Are there any bowls made in USA; small enough for ferrets, yet to heavy for them to tip over?

We use both the lock on in the cage and ceramic outside. I've never heard of glaze being a problem.

Search yielded this https://scontent-a-iad.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-xap1/v/t1.0-9/10580033_723212667766252_2671005881289809940_n.jpg?oh=aab32b4d754717f0bb551731b99c177a&oe=54F0DF88 Might seem a little large but you don't have to fill it. I use the same bowls for my cats and ferrets (not these) for ease.

I actually used a small stainless steel dog bowl, wide a slightly wide rim. Its the only way my Bandit would quit throwing the food out of the bowl. In order to stop them from tipping, dumping or knocking over, it is velvroe onto the shelf lol
