allergies or worse?

Since moving my ferrets into my sons room, my one ferret has an increase in watery eyes, less energy, harder to wake up, still eats, drinks, plays (just not as hyper) and now I noticed 2 swollen areas around each eye. I was thinking allergies and I'm moving him back into my room. The only thing is the swollen areas. He is not lethargic but less energetic. I'm going to see what he does back in his "original" room before taking him in but I'm wondering if anyone else had this symptom. 

Ferrets are mustelids, and have scent glands near their eyes.  Cats have them too, and that's why you see cats rubbing their faces on stuff. They are marking the spot.  It could be an allergy, blocked ducts or an infection.  I would talk to my vet if it doesn't clear up after moving back.  If it is allergies, you'd have to try to figure out what is different between the 2 rooms.  Any infection in the face is near the brain and could get serious.  And, if it is allergies, you could use children's liquid benadryl, but again, I'd check with my vet.

I thought so. I just never seen it before and didnt know if it was allergy related. Mostly Ive dealt with insulinoma, strokes, and deafness.
