Carpet poop stains

So we're getting a smidge better with the litter training, but we had an incident where Laska managed to potty in a spot I didn't see before I put my foot in it.
Ah yes, loads of fun.
So because I managed to mush it into the carpet, and we're renting this place and will have maintenance in later this coming week, I'd REALLY like to know the best method of cleaning this up please. I've tried general carpet cleaner, and it kinda worked, but some of the edge around the mashed splotch dried and are now stuck to the carpet fibers.
Help, please?

i use woolite pet stain remover it works and its a spray and has done wonders for me in the past. What color is your carpet?

It works for me too. We use the Oxy version. You may have to do it twice if it's mushed in. I use a plastic paint scraper to remove most of it first.

Little expensive but it works on all types of things, poop stains, husbands spilling of coffee all over everything, kitty accidents from either ends. I love it.
I use the bissell spray cleaner too, if its just a tiny spot.
