I didn't really catch any screeching, but the noises I heard are normal for intense play. I noticed Panda hiss once or twice and back out, which meant (s)he was done. It looked like normal play to me. You should hear Rosa and Lola when they go at it. It sounds like one or both are dying. And they are usually not playing. They get into heated arguments over a bed.

Ok, thank you. I had to interrupt their play tonight when Raven had Panda by her ear and she was screaming which sent a chill down my back and like a kid screaming i ran in that direction and had to coax him to let go of her. But if its all normal then i shouldn't worry, still freaks me out a bit when i do hear screeching or screaming like i heard tonight. Thank you Uncljoe! Kathy

Is Panda deaf? I notice she has a white head. That could explain for the loud screaming. Deafies think they might be making noise, when in reality they are being super loud! All in all, it looks like normal play to me

I've heard that a lot too, but neither Rosa or Lola are deaf. As far as play fighting, as long as there is no blood or poop it's most likely just play. They do play rough. Also, when it's serious, the one with the advantage, usually a neck grip, will shake like a shark trying to tear off a chunk or roll like an alligator. Fortunately they have very tough skin. Mating looks pretty brutal too.

No Panda is not deaf, she comes running every time i pick up the bag of food or open a bag of food or drop the ferritone(to which she tries to drag off to her "hide mom's stuff here" spot). I've only heard her dook a few times since she's owned me. They are very rough when it comes to playing and no there is no poop or blood thank goodness. They have their moments of getting along fine and then they beat each other up. But i'm thankful they are not drawing blood or one is defecating after or during an altercation. Kathy W

They definitely play rough. My Rocket tried playing like that with my Chihuahua Nina... she whined then started swatting him away and barked at him. Now he follows her around and climbs on her when she's laying down. He maybe thought she was just a big ferret since she's wire haired and is colored similarly. 😁

my ferret screeches and hisses when she's annoyed and done playing rough with the other ferrets, which means she was probably losing haha. As said above, no blood, no foul. My male ferret plays super rough the girls but they never really mind it until the hissing starts.
