My male is pretty big he's mid age and has some fat around his neck any suggestions on losing it?

You can change his diet. I've read that they don't need quite so much fat as they get older. What is he eating now? There are a couple kibbles for older ferrets and cats.
Is this fatty area soft or hard? Pudgy ferrets tend to get fat deposits there. But there are also lymph glands there. Do you have a picture?

Sorry, I am on vacation so I haven't been on here at all. I will get pictures as soon as I can. I got chicken pocks, and so I can't get on the plane and go home!
