I finally bought a Ferret Nation 182 a few weeks ago! I absolutely love this cage, it's an amazing upgrade from the Super Pet's My First Home that we were using. The first picture is of Shelby & Boss exploring as soon as it got set up! One of my babies keep pooping and peeing on the shelf on the bottom half of the cage. I tried wrapping it in fleece but they still use that level!

Very nice setup! I want to save up my pennies and get one (shh, don't tell my husband!) but for now we have a superpet cage that works well. I noticed in the first picture you have what looks like a litter box on the lower shelf, do they use it or the shelf? Maybe if you move a bed onto that shelf for a while they won't use it to potty, or if they still want to use it give in and leave a smaller litter box on that one.

The first picture has a blue fleece igloo (they like to lay ontop of it and make it cave down). Usually they end up throwing it onto the lower level. I think I'm going to move the red octopus to that area, as I can tie the legs and make it unmoveable.

I wanted a Ferret Nation before I brought Shelby home. My husband and I moved around a lot because of his job (every two weeks to once a month) so a FN cage would of been a hassle! I kinda lucked out though, because we didn't buy the $200 cage to began with we just bought a second baby, whose name is Boss! I have been saving since bringing the babies home, and now that they are almost 1 year old and we are finally back home and won't be moving anymore, I finally got to order my cage!

Awesome cage! I absolutely love mine! As far as the pooping everywhere goes, what i did was add a large litter box to the bottom, like either a cat litter pan or a 28 qt tote and cut down the front so its easier for them to climb in. I also have a second litter box on the upper level. Ever since i did that no more accidents in the cage. Another thing u can do is make sure to put a toy or better yet a bed that cant be moved in every corner.

I had the same issue with them pooping all over the place even with multiple litter pans in the cage. I fixed the issue by piling up fleece everywhere I could. Now they think of it as bed instead of a litter box and keep all of their business in the litter box. Though, my boyfriend said he caught Murder sleeping in the litter box this afternoon. Oi! ><

OOOohh lUCKY! Nice set up. I am thinking of buying myself a FN come the first of the month :3.. I haven't really made up my mind though.. I want to so bad cause of the sale (hoping it still around come the first). The problem is that I wanted to wait and just save back some money of the side and wait till June because of a convention coming up, but then I really want to get this cage for him. He is such a good boy he deserves bigger and better things x3. I dunno >.<! I will be hitting it really close if I get it for him right away lol.. not that I couldn't make it work.. After the big cage I will be able to start my ferret fund .. for all things ferrety that may become needed later on.

Awesome! Congrats! I am waiting for the end of the month (payday comes once a month for teachers!) and I am going to get one for our three. They have the superpet one with the supercool (sarcastic) green and purple right now. Seeing everyone's awesome 182 cages with the custom bedding on here has given me cage envy! :)
