Cinnamon Ferret - Thursday, August 02, 2007 12:11 PM
I have been looking for a long time and I cant find any pics of Cinnamon colored Ferrets.  Can anyone point m to a good pic of one?
Some say the world will end in fire, some say in ice. From what I've tasted of desire, I stand with those who favor fire. But, if I had to perish twice, I think I know enough to hate to say that for destruction, ice is also great and would suffice

lots of people use cinnamon and champagne the same way.
Although I usually only see really red ferrets from Australia or the UK.
this is what I consider to be a cinnamon.

Velvet is correct, LOS uses Cinnamon and AFA uses Champagne for basically the same colored ferret :)

The picture Velvet posted looks to be a tweener - too dark to be a good chocolate and too light to be a good champagne. I think the red cast is probably just lighting. I haven't seen a really red ferret since at least 1997 (my first show).

The reddish cast can also by caused by certain foods.

Hope this helps!

My Zaphod is a cinnamon, despite the way my camera washes him out.
I usually describe lighter "cinnamons" as champagne. I don't think in casual conversation colors are very set in stone. :)

You can see her red though right? she looks so pretty against green! her red does not show well against it but makes her stick out more! is he in your photo? he looks cinnamon to me! a bit dark of a mask

(Is this a reply to my post? If I'm wrong, oops, lol)
My Zaphod is a bit browner than red, I think, though he does have the dark ruby eyes. :) And yeah, he does have a bit of a dark mask. He's sort of like a redder, less saturated sable, I think. lol

yes it was:) i think if it was a color, he would be a cinnamon sable. i know there is chocolate sable, black sable, and now you have introduced...drum roll.... CINNAMON SABLE!!!! he is so cute! he is a very brownish red color, but adorable! he also has that dark red/pink/ nose that only cinnamons get ;)  coda is different, she is champagne in the summer and cinnamon in the winter! her coat is coming in SO nicely. i am going to have to put up more pictures of her! haha, he is so cute though! you should put more pictures also!

Haha yeah!! The Cinna-Sable!
We SHOULD post more pics. I agree. Zaphod hasn't shed his summer coat yet, so I'm excited to see what color he'll turn (if any).

I'll have to get out my nice camera and get some good shots of Zaphod in nice light, then! I bet he'd love to be on your website. :)
