Ferret Clothing - Sunday, July 29, 2007 8:10 AM
I found this link for a ferret clothing store and I've been wondering if clothing on ferrets was cute or just plan wrong. http://www.ferretcouture.co.uk/clothing.asp

I think it's a matter of personal opinion.
Personally, I think it's cute.
Unfortunately, when I put the little hoodie on my kids, it stays on about 30 seconds, so it's a waste of money for me.

People, you got a carnivore, not a doll... I honestly don't get the point of clothing - it's not as if it would ever stay on, which should tell you enough about how much they "appreciate" it.

I can see making clothes or putting them on for a photo shoot but not for them to"wear"  LOL  I think it is cute to smap a pic with something onlike they do for the calenders/cards  but mine would never really wear anything like a hoody, they would spend all their time trying to get it off  lol

Those ears stayed on for.... 10 seconds? Enough to take a picture - and Speedy is really patient, Buddy's photo didn't turn out that well... he has absolutely no patience with anything.

I've gotten some clothing on my little girl boo once. It's hard to get on but after it was on she didn't complain much.

I have like 150 bucks of ferret clothes. The never keep them on. But I didn't get them from Ferret Couture. I think this lady does an amazing job on ferret clothes and leads etc. At least the keep their collars on. I have a few, my favorites are the Chloe's Canines one, I have one in pink leather and the other blue, with their names written on it in silver letters. I only put collars on them when we go out though, never when they're in their cage.

I really don't think the ferrets care what they have on, they are getting out of it no matter what!  It's all part of the game!

Those are some great ferret clothes. That site even had matching people/ferret sets!
I love those kinda things for window shopping because I can imagine how cute my ferts would look in that stuff, but I never order anything like that because I know they would just wiggle out of it and it would sit in their pet box forever after the first five minutes.
But in my mind, now, ferret clothes are da fuzzy bomb.

I think I fulfill that cutesy ferret dress up urge through their bedding. I spend way too much money on matching bedding sets and fleece yardage for floor covers and color coordinating knee socks for ramp covers. I play dress up with their cage instead of them.

Like said before its a personal opinion. I have a ton of ferret clothes, mostly used for photo shoots and contests. I'm planning on getting a western piece for teencies birthday in the winter. they have hats, scarves, jakets, costumes, dresses, hoodies, etc.  some items they will wear for a while the rest i don't ask more than a photo shoot.

ferretcouture is too much cash for americans. if you do the conversion, one Tee-shirt would be $26

Very true I feel the same but my brother put a jumper on one of the fuzzies and he liked it he never tried to wiggle out bite it or walking funny

The ferret couture site is expensive. That's another reason I just window shop for ferty clothes. They all seem pricey to me.

heh. I like the name of that LJ page though... weez wear. That's cute.

I wouldn't mind having a little hoodie for Chloe and the new girl in November.  I live in Canada.  Nuff said.

I also want to get Santa hats long enough to get them in a Santa photo hosted by the local SPCA.
