Bite - Monday, March 22, 2010 12:42 AM
Tosca has what might be a spider bite or a lump on one of her paws.  I think I see the center part of a bite mark but there's some swelling.  She's walking on it, playing fine, eating fine, but had a couple of funky poops.  I plan to watch it through tomorrow at least to see if anything changes.  If it is a bite, it's obviously nothing poisonous.  But, is there something more I can do for her.  Of course, if anything changes or it doesn't heal, she will have a vet trip.
Of all the things I've lost, I miss my mind the most. If only I could figure out where the ferrets stashed it!

first:  all spiders are venomous.  The size of the spider and its fangs determines whether they are dangerous.  When my wife got bitten, the dr. told her to take benadryl, and it cleared up.  You'd have to ask the vet about dosage, but ferts can take it.  Any chance it was a fire ant?
