The ebay cage looks way too small.

The superpet "my first home" is OK, but if you're going to spend $94 on a cage, might as well spend the extra bucks and get a lifer, as opposed to the "starting" cage.

I have a Marshalls Town House, and I'm pretty happy with it. It's pretty easy to assemble, it's got several solid plastic platforms that you can rearrange, and a solid plastic bottom pan (I really don't like cages with wire platforms/bottoms).

I think it's a good cage for the price, and it's a good size. I have my two fuzzies living comfortably in it right now, and will probably soon add a third. n.n My babies get lots of out-of-cage time too, so they don't feel too cooped up.

I have 2 travel carriers. one is a Pet Mate with 2 doors. (hard plastic). The other is a soft-sided 2 door for travel inside stores and friends homes. It`s a sherpa small carrier. It will hold 2 ferrets but I won`t travel with them in it for a very long time. it`s just for short trips, vet, store for food, play date, etc. I also have a Penthouse which I made bedding and flooring for. I love my Penthouse!

On the other hand the Penthouse, aside from the safety thing I mentioned before, is also cheaper than the FN cages. Mine holds 4 ferrets and still has planty of room. Fairly easy to clean except some parts between wires, but it's no big deal, and it's just as escape-proof as FN's.

Go with the FN. It's so super safe, easy to clean, and roomy. The one you had a pic of would be terrible for their feet. You'de have to cover all of it with material. Looks cheap too. I've known other people with those other cages you've listed and they eventually bought a FN and loved it much better. A FN 141 would be fine for 2 or 3 ferrets, but I think you'll eventually want a FN 142. I have the FN 142 with 3 ferrets in it cause I want them to have lots of room.

I would NOT recommend the wired cage, it doesn't look the least bit safe for ferrets. Stick to the FN or Penthouse in my opinion. The FN is great quality but I personally went with the penthouse because the platforums provide safety for falling fuzzies.

the ferrets will chew all of the coating off and this could make them very ill.
I read this in an artical.
The other model I was looking at was made of galvanized wire, which I know is not good.

Thanks. I Think I am going w/ the Quality Cages Ferret Masion because its the biggest I can afford for my money and I like the desgin of the quality cages. I have since changed my mind about getting one ferret and decided to get a pair from our local ferret shelter.

Now that you added the FN into the mix, you'll get a lot more responses for the FN. It's easy to clean, and the 141 can easily hold 1 or 2 more ferrets. If you get more ferrets, you can buy the FN 143 (making it 2 stories)

Since you seem to be looking around, Martin's makes good cages, too.

Thanks Snapper. Ive narrowed down my search to 3 choices.
1. The Penthouse
2. The Townhouse
3.The FN 141
I really like the penthouse for its size. I really like the townhouse for its price and size. And I really like the FN 141 for its size and non-plastic flooring
Which one should I get? Like I said before Im only getting 1 ferret but might add more later.

There's a few people on this forum who have the Penthouse and they really like it. I dont' remember any reviews about the townhouse.
