Hello. I am new to this forum but not new to ferrets. I currently have a female who is estimated to be about 4 years old. She does have adrenal disease but has an implant that has helped her a lot. She also seems to have insolinoma which has been under control. She recently (and has had before) diarrhea that has a horrible smell and almost seems to have strings of mucus in it (not worms). Last time I treated her with antibiotics and pepto and it worked for a few weeks. I'm just wondering if I should treat her the same again this time or look for another solution. She is eating and drinking. Other than the tummy issues and being slightly pale she is otherwise acting normal.

It sounds like an infection of some sort.  You could have the vet do a culture to determine what specific bacteria is causing the problem so you can get the right antibiotic.  If that's not an option, know that some bacteria are harder to control, so a second round of broad spectrum antibiotics may be needed.  IBD is a possibility, and that takes some effort to beat.
