Snack Shack - Sunday, November 23, 2014 11:42 PM
Is something like this okay? My ferrets are hardcore cardboard chewers and i wand to give them something else to chew on.
Thanks, Ian

I would defiantly go with the options wenmister gave you above, but if you want my option when my baby's loved cardboard.. I would bring home a brown bag or 2 from the grocery store which are free if you just ask for one. There good from them to jump in, and they make noise so they'll love it. There light too, so they will be able to craw underneath and what not. With your chewing issue they probably will chew or bite and carry around the bag, I would just keep a close eye on them when they do so they don't get any foreign objects in their stomach. Also when the bag gets ripped badly I would throw it away and replace it.

I would use raw chicken wings. They are safe to eat and no risk of a blockage like cardboard would be.

Ferrets: Wesley, Percy, Owen    -rip Bandit-
Bettas- Kitty, Pip, and Logan
Sun Conure- Kita
Gerbils- Piper and Tailer

Gabby use to munch on cardboard and she had perfect teeth to the day she died without me ever brushing them.  but you do have to be careful and watch what they're doing and tear off lose, wet or pieces that may be swallowed.

every card board box had a line of dots all the way around it :)

but brushing and N Bones are a good alternative
