Wild turtles -2 rescues in one trip

Looks like someone really cleaned house. I had a whole thread about turtles and ducks, etc I was on my way out to run errands and I found a Yellow belly slider in the middle of our road. She had been hit by a car and her carapace was busted pretty bad, but when I picked her up she could still move all of her legs and neck. I called the Marine Science Center in Ponce Inlet. They rehab mostly sea life, including sea turtles, but they said they do all native Florida wildlife. So I ran her up there, about 45 minutes in pouring rain. I dropped her off (no prognosis until evaluated) and on the way home, maybe a mile from the center, I found this little one in the middle of the road, in the rain, at rush hour It's a Florida box turtle. No idea what sex because it never emerged. here is the front door
