hi guys, I have a poorly ferret called binky he's 7 years old and is wheezing and has sneezing fits, he is eating properly and not in any pain but just sleeps a lot he is currently sleeping in my room because he dosent want to go back with my other 2 jills called taz and ruby, he has lost a lot of weight but still wants to play he hasent got weepy eyes and his poops are fine,he wobbles when he walks then just gives up and lays of the floor. we don't want to take him to the vets cause they will just put them down (they don't like small animals) any help would be great.thanks ^.^

You need to find a new vet. Some vets don't treat small exotics, but many do. I find it difficult to believe that a vet would do that. He could just have a flu, but the the weight loss is a reason to see a vet.

he wobbles when he walks then just gives up and lays of the floor. That can be signs of insulinoma. Time to get him into the vet's office and have him check out.

TIME FOR A NEW VET!!!! Binky really needs to see a vet that knows what they are doing. A lot of good vets do not see small animals or exotics. Doesn't mean they are bad just not trained to treat them. It can be very difficult to find a vet that specializes in exotics (ferrets) I know there are a lot of resources here and if you ask I am sure some member/moderator should be able to assist you in your search good luck and feel better Binky
