Mr. Smokie, nee Sonic, aka Mowgli, aka Mogie, is 2 years old today. Although he is his own self, he reminds me in ways of Eddie, whom I miss so much. Mogie loves car rides and walks, as Ed did. So much so that he's my avatar pic. He'll sit on my shoulders or lap in the car while looking out the window, instead of sleeping under the seat. He likes being held as well, and sometimes follows He was the second ferret we got based mostly on looks, a month after his best bud Yoshi. He's a laid back, no drama (at least he don't start any) ferret who loves his daddy but he likes playing and can get excited by a cat fishing pole and box or bag rides. Thinkin about a pool party for them tonight. Happy birthday! He is adorable! I love his almost all black face, and black nose. What a cute boy.
That nose is why he ended up in our house. Neither of us had ever seen a black nosed marhsall's in the store before and we both always wanted one. We got him a month after Abita, Yoshi and Pandy, and now the four of them are a close knit mini-business.

Oh happy birthday Smokie! He sounds like a special one!My first ferret was a male black Sable named Shorty. I loved him so much, and was a very special boy. I ended up rescuing three ferrets during his life, because he showed me how wonderful ferrets can be. I miss him so much, and I'm thinking about getting a sable boy or girl this spring. I'm waiting to see how Kodi grows and what kind of a personality he will have.
