Ferret fall please help
-
Saturday, August 16, 2014 10:41 AM
So last night my ferret was playing upstairs and while I was in my room, I heard a loud boom. Turns out it was Molly, we have a parapet with banisters and she must've jumped or accidentally fell but I'm worried she might have internal bleeding. Right after she just got up and started running around like nothing happened but when I was holding her her eyes seemed blinking way to much. I checked on her every two hours she seemed ok is there any signs I should look for? I'm debating taking her to the vet but our vet is 45 min away.. If anything gets worse I will take her but is there anything I should look for for signs in internal damage or concussion? Thanks!

she is doing well, i didn't take her to the vet because she was acting her normal self (stealing shoes, socks, playing with her sister) i think she's just a little stunt devil. will definitely be more cautious with her around the balcony!

Check her fangs. We had our dear Poppy break a tooth in a fall, we don't know when, but it eventually wore through to the core and the resulting infection killed her. I'm glad your little one is up and running.
