Deaf or Ignoring Me?
-
Thursday, July 31, 2014 6:26 PM
Mishka is a white (ish) ferret, and I in another post that white ones can be deaf. As he's still a pretty new addition, I hadn't quite worked out whether or not he's definitely deaf. So I tried a few different tricks to try to see, and I can't tell if he's deaf or just a snot and ignoring my attempts. Any favoured tests for this?

Shake a A can of coins near him while he's not looking, or turn on a vacuum. A dog squeakie toy will get most any ferret's attention.

I'll have to try it! Last night I was tapping chopsticks together and while Laska looked over Mishka didn't even flinch.
