Soupies and dampened foods - Monday, April 21, 2014 12:31 PM
I was just wondering if anyone had some experience or input on the time frame for soupies or dampened food. I haven't tried any actually soupie recipes for Izzy yet but I do moisten her food (sometimes quite a bit that it is sort of a soup I guess) and I always worry about how long it can stay in the cage before I throw it out. I don't want to waste the food, but even more so I worry about it going bad. Can extra moistened kibble (like wellness core or wysong kibble) be refrigerated to last longer or does that not have any effect on it? Same question for soupies that have raw meat or baby chicken food in them. Any input would be awesome!

I only have soupies out when the kids are out.  (The soupies are on a placemat in the kitchen)  Once the kids are back in their cage, I put the soups back in the fridge.  We have 4, so usually there isn't much left, but if there is, putting it in the fridge seems to work.
