My Gir.  My sweet, twinkle-toe, wallet thief baby girl.  We were able to get her hydrated enough for an IV.  She was stable enough last night that the vet called and said "She will get to come home with you tomorrow".  The phone rang this morning, 15 minutes after the hospital opened, and the doc said "I have some bad news.."

It feels so surreal.  We were making her private cage so comfy for her with all of her favorite things.  Picked up her favorite food, got her blankies and pouches all ready to get snuggled in.

I feel like we were all so focused on her hydration and liver that we all lost sight of the fact that she was skin and bones.  My little mama starved to death.  

I feel so responsible for this, so helpless, so lost.  I miss her so hard.  She was the first ferret to ever come into my life.  My first fuzzbutt.  My heart will forever be incomplete now, because she stole that piece that she took to the bridge with her this morning.

I love you my little bubby.  Mama loves her Gir.  My life is forever changed because of you little girl.

I am so sorry for your loss. She is in much better place over the rainbow bridge, free of her disease.  She will always be in your heart.

I'm so sorry.  she was beautiful.  I wish I could take away the pain.  I wish I could bring this forum back so we coud do more for new ferrents and hurting ones.
