Over the weekend Dar noticed that Miss Prissy's sub-mandibular lymph nodes were enlarged. (Good catch, Dar) Of course we hoped it was onlya sign that she was fighting some infection, so we took her in to our vet today. Dr. B was able to palpate her pre-scapular nodes as well, so she most likely has lymphoma. No surprise. Prissy turned 8 in March, and other than vision and hearing impairment, she's always been a solid, healthy girl. (Well, we suspect she may have had a stroke a couple years ago, which may have wiped out her sight and caused her to hold her head slightly tilted). She did pretty well at the vet. She does not like being restrained, and she let the tech know by pooping on her hand while having her temp taken. (The only time she'll sleep in Dar's lap is in the car.) Dr B gave us prn scripts for pred in liquid and pill form a while ago, so we'll see how it goes. Hopefully her guts aren't involved yet and she'll have a lot of time.

Prayers she has a lot more time. Prednisolone is good for lymphoma as long as it's not aggressive. I hate the "L" word.

I'm taking Kodiak (one of the last 2 Georgia boys) in Monday to have a soft lump checked out on his back. Hoping and praying for the best.
