Help! My ferret peed little bloody pee after I accidentally stepped on him
-
Saturday, May 16, 2015 11:15 PM
I had my daughter and her friend piling up all pillows etc on a floor, just 1 spot I stepped on to go to the othe other side, I felt it...but I already stepped on him. I'm big girl and I'm sure it hurt him more than I accidentally step on him in kitchen when he tugging around my feet. He still followed me around, ate just fine. So I was glad he wasn't seriously hurt, or that's what I thought till I saw him pee pink urine....what should I do? I know I need to take him asap but I can't afford it but I can not afford not to. His inside must be bleeding and I don't know how bad

I would definitely get him to the vet ASAP. I would keep a very close eye on him and make sure he's eating and drinking. I have stepped on my babies before but luckily felt them and took the pressure off them before I stepped down all the way. Please keep us updated.

Bye is eating , drinking, walking around like usual. He walk and follows me around, jump on couch and coffee table etc. I accidentally lightly kicked him or step on him lightly since he is always tagging to my feet while prepare his and people food for my daughter and myself. But never with a lot of weight on step... He must having internal bleeding and I was hoping his bleed stop naturally and pee yellow urine...

He just pee couple minutes ago. Still little tinted but not bad as 1 st or 2 no one. He eating and drinking fine too. In a sat, he was so sick at the point of I really thought I may loose him from diarrea and anorexia. I set up alarm clock and took care of him around the clock. I stil don't leave him over night by himself so I can hear and check he is eating well and so he won't be lonely. He gained weight and getting healthier ( still having some health issue tho) I can't sleep because I need to check his pee... I am hoping he is not in pain. He just climb up to my bed by himself and went to sleep. Thank you Bandit99!

Keep an eye on him. My ex stepped on one years ago under similar circumstances (Frank was sleeping under a shirt on the floor by the bed) and he was pooping blood. The vet did a barium x-ray to make sure his digestive tract wan't ruptured, put him on antibiotics and carafate and he was ok in a week. I hope yours is ok. At least it does't appear he has any broken bones or spinal injury.

Thank you, My a Baby is doing much better.! His bloody urine never came back and he seemed cooping to recover for day and half. I made sure warm food is ready and keep him warm ( I live in crazy weather Utah where you need A/C and heater in same day) remind him to eat. He is back to usual stage again, wait and chase my feet in kitchen as I cook, jump on coffee table to say hello to Beta fish. Cuddle up with my daughter. He just got bitten by tick when he went outside, so he is on amoxicillin, just in case.
