Hello, I am a new ferret owner, first one bought in March 2014, Sherlock, he is a healthy 7 month old boy. This past week I visited the pet shop and saw a poor over weight ferret... he was there for a while, so I decided to buy it and bring him home.  In the next few days I brought my new ferret to the vet and she said that he is in fact big, has fat around his neck (inside) so she put him on a low glucose cat kibble, but beside that he is playful... and of course, we named him Watson.... my big almost 5 pounds baby (2.9 kilo).... I love them both very much!!!!
