Traveling with Dixie (my ferret) - Sunday, May 04, 2014 10:29 PM
I recently bought a ferret,Dixie, and I love her with all my heart. She is honestly the best pet I've ever had and love being around her all the time. She is almost 4 months old (my little baby). The bad news is that I am going t visit the Florida Keys this summer for a week and half. My father, whom I live with, hates Dixie. He claims she smells and is a nasty rodent. I don't want to inconvenience him or make his trip horrible with the inconvenience of Dixie. How do I travel with her or where could I find a TRUSTY and loving ferret-sitter?

I would like to bring her with me on the trip, but the car will be small and hold a scent. HELP.

Where do you live?  Maybe someone you know with their own ferrets can watch her. I'm in NJ.. if you live here I'd be happy to watch her for you. She can keep my 8 year old company :)

I really like traveling with my girlfriend because we never plan our leisure time and always decide everything according to the situation and mood. But if I travel alone, I try to think of something in advance so as not to get bored. Now I'm very interested in food tours, more info about which can be found from here. In my opinion, the gastronomic experience while traveling is no less important than visiting various attractions and museums.
