Hiya. Welcome to ferreting. I'm sorry it's not going well for you. Too late now, but as you've discovered, angora ferrets can be a bit much. They're a relatively new "breed," And from what I've read they act like they have a bit of wild in them. Plus, depending on the breeder, they may not be handled as much while young, in hopes that the kits will bond with the new owner over the breeder.
First question: Have they been descented? Ferrets have anal scent glands like other mustaelids, for marking territory and self defense. It's my guess that since they come from a breeder, they may not have not been descented. Breeders generally sell intact ferrets and leave it up to the buyer to do the necessary surgeries. The breeder should have told you either way. Many ferrants who get ferrets from private breeders opt to have them de-sexed after their genitals descend, around 9 months, and opt not to have them descented. Removal of the scent glands is considered to be an unnecessary surgery (it's actually illegal in UK), and late altering
may help delay the onset of adrenal disease.
There are several techniques to train then not to bite. Scruffing and dragging has worked for me. To get them to release a bite, some people run their heads under water. Another option is to force your hand further into her moth to force it open. Does't sound like fun but neither is getting bit or hurting the fert to get her to let go.
In my early days of ferrets, I had 3 female cats. One played with them, one was terrified of them and one was indifferent. They were all adults when I got my first ferret. It may take them some time to get used to the new smells.
Better quality food makes better quality poop. There are good kibbles and bad kibbles. What are you feeding them? Imho, their pee smells at least as strong as their poop. It doesn't take long for the ammonia to come through. We scoop litter boxes as we can but have to change them at least once, sometimes twice a day. And we have 6 litter boxes in our small place, plus newspapers in every corner. Puppy pads work well.
I hope this helped. Don't hesitate to ask anything. Or post pictures.
