Anti-social sleeping?
-
Wednesday, November 05, 2014 1:57 PM
I let my ferrets out overnight a few nights a week - they're getting more well behaved. I have noticed that Rambo (who is the newest, only being been here coming up on two months) doesn't like to sleep where the other two do. He sleeps at the bottom of the stairs near our basement door. I put a litter box down there otherwise he makes a mess, and I gave him a towel so he doesn't get cold. But he sleeps down there any night I leave them out, while the other either cuddle up in a sweatshirt on the floor or sleep in the cage. Should I be concerned that he doesn't sleep with them? Or just chalk it up to him liking the cool breeze? He sleeps with them *mostly* in the cage. Sometimes he sleeps in the sleeping bag with them, but other nights he sleeps on a different level.

I wouldn't worry about it. Even in the cage I sometimes find 5 in a pile or all sleeping apart. He may prefer a cooler place. Jaffa likes sleeping on the bare plastic floor of the cage most times.

I wouldn't worry about it either - sometimes mine sleep together - which makes my heart smile :) sometimes they don't
