Soupies means duck soup. Soups are a soft/wet food that you can make yourself. It may include raw meat, wet kibble or both. We feed a mix of ground up kibble, a decent, all meat canned cat food and raw ground turkey, in even amounts by volume. We grind their regular kibble into a powder with a coffee grinder. Soups are a way to introduce raw food, and they can literally be a lifesaver when your fuzzy is sick and can't handle crunchy food. You can use soups to give medicines by putting it in a small serving of soups. I'm really surprised that I didn't find any recipes for soups in the food sub thread. Other things you an add are raw eggs, chicken or turkey baby food, organ meat, and other types of meat. I started simple with the above recipe and occasionally add different things I mentioned for variety. At our income and with 9 ferts, we can't afford to feed them 100% raw, so we try to balance the kibble with more meat.

Looks like our admin cleared out the post in the "Recipe" area. If you do a search on ferret duck soup on the internet. You can get some recipes. I will open up a thread on Duck Soup for our members to share their recipes.

Thanks! I don't have any sick weasels, but I think it might be good to offer some variety for their food. I'll definitely take a look for recipes online too!

You should mix at least 2 kibbles as well, in case one become unavailable for some reason. There are occasional pet food recalls.

We already do that - Wellness Core Kitten and Blue Buffalo Wilderness Duck. So far it's all working well
