Please help!

Please can anybody help. My 8 year old male ferret has recently suffered what the vet thinks is a back injury. He was struggling walking on his back left leg. She prescribed some anti inflammatories n keep him in his cage for a few days to limit his movement. He seems a little stronger on his leg but is not eating properly and has lost so much weight. I have been giving him beaten eggs, lard, raw mince, anything I can think of to fatten him up but nothing seems to be working much. He had some rotten teeth removed last month which the vet suggested was due to old age he had been eating his kibble fine but now won't touch it. I would much appreciate some advice on what to give him to help put some weight on. Thanks so much to anyone who can offer some advice.

My 8 year old male ferret has recently suffered what the vet thinks is a back injury. what type of accident did your ferret have to cause back injury? You can try some duck soup recipes that are post in the food section of this forum. This will help put some weight on little one.
