Cenforce, which contains the active ingredient sildenafil citrate, is primarily known for treating erectile dysfunction but is also used off-label for pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH), though under the brand name Revatio when approved specifically for PAH. For treating pulmonary hypertension, Cenforce is typically prescribed at a lower dose than for erectile dysfunction. The standard dosage for PAH is usually 20 mg taken three times a day, approximately 4 to 6 hours apart. It should be taken with or without food, but consistent timing helps maintain even blood levels. It's important not to self-medicate with Cenforce for PAH unless under strict medical supervision, as incorrect use can lead to serious side effects, including dangerously low blood pressure. Always follow a physician's guidance and do not exceed the recommended dose.
